Parent Participation
Organisation  P.P.O.
Without parents we wouldn't have students!

Now that the obvious has been stated we can further say without
parental involvement at QHS we would not be able to provide
some of the fun activities that go on during a school year.

On the Ministry of Education website we find the following
information concerning P.P.O. committees:

Parents who wish to do so may also form a Parent Participation
Organization in the school, whose aim is to promote parents’
participation in the development, implementation and periodical
evaluation of the school’s educational project, and to encourage
their participation in their child’s schooling. The Organization may
be consulted by the parents’ representatives on the Governing
Board or it may decide to advise them on any issue concerning the
parents.

The Parent Participation Organisation (PPO) was formed to be a
source of volunteers for school events.  In past years they have
been instrumental in helping run events like:

The School Flea Market
Various Fund Raising Activities
Sports and Academic Awards Nights
School Dances
and many others

If you are interested in joining the PPO then watch the QHS for an
announcement about the first information meeting.
PPO Meetings can be an extreme sport at times!
