School Closings/Emergency Should the school have to be closed for an emergency or because of inclement weather, Board officials will contact the radio stations of the area to announce the cancellation of classes. This will be done as early as possible; however, if the decision cannot be made before 6:30 a.m., some school buses may already be on the road. The radio stations are: CFLS-92 CJRP-1060 CKCV-1280 CHRC-80 CJFM-93 CBC-104.7 FM Smoking Quebec High School is, by law, a smoke-free environment. Therefore, smoking is not allowed in the school or on school grounds. We expect all individuals to respect this law. There is assistance for those individuals who would like to stop smoking. Please see the school nurse and/or guidance counsellor for further information. Special Help See your guidance counsellor, Ms. Diane Hostetler, to find out more about: Teacher Assistance All teachers are available to provide extra help to students in need. Students shouldmake appointments with the subject teachers to get the help they need before falling behind in their work. Term Reports The term report is issued four times a year. It shows a numerical grade for most courses as well as the number of absences. Reports are given to students to take home for signature. PROGRESS REPORT DURING THE YEAR: Parents may contact the teacher or the school administration for a general progress report at any time during the year. |
