QHS Honoured Students - March 2008
We are very blessed at QHS to have great students.  Some of our students excel in academics and
extra curricular activities within the school and other excel in activities away from the school.  In
the coming months we will use this page to HONOUR some of these student achievements.

Our goal is to highlight their successes and to share them with our QHS community.
Do you know someone that you think should
be HONOURED on this page?  Let us know by sending us an email at:

After winning at the school
level, Azanie and Fred
were participants in the
Expo Sciences Bell 2008
regional competition.

This competition included
schools from the greater
Quebec City region as well
as Chaudiere-Appalaches.

This year's Expo Science
saw 112 projects in the

competition.  QHS is proud to announce that of the 112 projects that were  presented, these
two secondary four students took 6th place!  This sixth place finish qualifies them to continue
on to the provincial finals where the project will be up against another hundred projects from
across the province.

On the day of the QHS science fair, Agriculture Canada scientist Dr. Serger Laberge knew
that this project was a solid entry.  After grilling the two students with questions he smiled
and as he walked away from the display and said, "we have our winners".  When I asked him
why he felt this he commented that they knew their stuff and that some of the questions he
asked them were at a level that a university student would be expected to answer.

Congratulations Azanie and Fred from all the staff and
students at QHS.
