A New Sheriff in Town?

Yes, QHS did get a new
principal this year, but he did
not come riding in on a horse!
 This summer the QHS
Community
Learning Center has
partnered with Les Aidants
Surnaturels.  This
organisation works with
special needs
children and they have been
using QHS to run a day
camp for 12 students all
summer long.  On this day
they brought in the animation
crew from, Pony in My
Backyard.  creating smiles
for these special children.

On Saturday, June 28th, sixteen
QHS students ventured off to
Prince Edward Island as part of
a SEVEC student exchange.

Wednesday, August 20th begins the second leg
of the SEVEC exchange between Prince Edward
Island students and QHS students.  Click on the

the weekly activities.
The Morrin Center is the cultural
center for the English speaking
community.  We are so blessed
to have such a beautiful historic
facility.  Community Learning
Center Coordinator Ed Sweeney
recently attended a meeting for
the Community Table and he
learned about a new and
exciting project run through the
Morrin Center.  If you are
looking to brush up on your
history of the English speaking
community or if you have
visitors coming to Quebec you
may want to explore what they
